The author's documentation is incredible and the chase to find her daughter's killer and have him apprehended is not only extraordinary, but heart wrenching. I hope everyone who reads this book finds it in their soul to do something if they see a woman being assaulted or bullied. Krystal did the best she could to find a friend and mate (even looking at his background check) but he was a snake in human skin. The author’s daughter, Krystal, was brutally murdered in 2016. The bulk of this book is the author’s account of how she set about joining up with US Marshals to hunt down the killer. From an incredibly moving narrative of how the family coped with the murder, to a huge social media campaign to catch him, to dealing with all the officials involved in both the murder and the manhunt, the book is powerful and unforgettable.
Wentzel’s writing is crisp and succinct, not overly emotional, more matter of fact. The case is gripping, making the book unputdownable!
